The American tech giant, Microsoft has launched three travel-friendly battery chargers called ‘Microsoft Portable Dual chargers’ for daily use. As the name suggests, the new affordable power banks have two standard USB ports for charging two devices at the same time. They are named as DC-32, DC-33 and DC-34 and have 5200 mAh, 9000 mAh, and 12000 mAh capacities, respectively. DC-32, DC-33 and DC-34 will come with a price tag of USD 35 (approx Rs 2,200), USD 45 (approx Rs 2,900), and USD 55 (approx Rs 3,500). The Microsoft’s sleek USB portable chargers will be globally available in selected markets in next few weeks with only one colour option –black.

The power levels of the chargers are indicated by four LED indicators. The 5200 mAh power bank has pocketable shape whereas the power banks with 9000 mAh, and 12000 mAh capacities are not pocket-friendly but can easily fit in your bag or glovebox. All the three chargers with different capacities have same 100 mm width and 25 mm thickness but have different heights and weights. They charge the devices as fast as AC-60 wall charger. If your smartphone, tablet or any other gadget needs charge but the portable dual charger is out of charge. During that time ‘daisy-chain’ feature can be used for charging both the device and the power bank at the same time. Moreover, these portable dual chargers will still retain up to 80% capacity if you do not use them for several months. Let’s take a brief look at the set of three power banks.

When Microsoft does the business they are best in it...
I am damn sure that power banks from Microsoft can give tough time to the existing power bank manufacturers.

    Hey, hold on!!
Did I say the price is on the higher side, probably they can think reducing it a bit for Indian market. Whats your take on this?

I believe price is one of the deciding factor for the rise/fall of any product in Indian market. Now when the makers like Mi are selling the similar product in much cheaper price.

P.S.: Have been using Mi 10400 mAh for the past 6+ months. & pretty much satisfied with its performance. Though have seen some people facing after sales service issue with the same product.
