  • Parents and teachers are always working on making internet a safer experience for all children and now Microsoft has decided to offer a helping hand to them with its ‘Bing For Schools’ plan that promises a safer, private and ad free search experience along with providing hardware and learning activities for school students. Under this free program, schools signing up for this project shall be getting an enhanced version of Bing that is completely ad free. The search results will also be thoroughly inspected for filtering and blocking adult content. Finally as we have seen in the Scroogled initiative, Bing will be providing privacy protection to its users.

    Bing For Schools
If the school decides to opt for the Bing Rewards program, Microsoft will be providing free Microsoft Surface RT tablets with Touch Cover when the school manages to gain enough Bing Rewards credits irrespective of whether the school has signed up for Bing for Schools ad-free search program or not. On the software front Microsoft will be providing learning activities on Bing homepage. With help from its #-Link-Snipped-# website free daily lessons will be delivered to students from September 3rd. Yesterday Microsoft launched the pilot program in various schools in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Fresno, and Detroit. According to #-Link-Snipped-#, this program won’t affect the earnings of Microsoft as software sales generate most revenue for the company, but Google however might be reluctant to start a ad free experience since more that 95% of its revenue is earned by advertising.

Will programs like this work in India, if yes how and if no how? Let us know in the comment section below.

So schools who are signing up for it should be blessed to provide a better environment for students and this make parents to get a relief from ads that lure students and destract them.
Should schools additional cost to get bing(students edition)?
Are you sure? This action cannot be undone.
