Micromax Unveils 6-inch Phablet Canvas Mega 2 At Rs. 7,999
Domestic smartphone giant Micromax has launched the Canvas Mega 2 smartphone coming with an enduring battery at Rs 7,999. It features a 6-inch qHD display (960 Ã 540 pixels) resolution, powered by an 3000 mAh battery and 1.3 GHz quad core processor. The device incorporates 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage capacity which is further expandable up to 32 GB.
Running on Android lollipop 5.0 the smartphone packs in 4G LTE bands and comes with the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and micro USB. On photography front there is a provision of 8 MP autofocus camera on the rear accompanied by an LED flash and a 5 MP fixed focus snapper up front for selfies.

Micromax quoted that it claims over 15 percent market share in the phablet segment in the country and the new Canvas Mega 2 is aimed at strengthening the phablet portfolio in Indian markets. With the cricketing season on its roll, the new smartphone will be a delightful experience for the sports aficionados in the country as they will be able to consume best quality cricket viewing experience on the move, commented Mr. Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics ltd on the launch.
Meanwhile Micromax has announced recently that it will commence pre registrations for its latest flagship #-Link-Snipped-#starting tomorrow at its own e-store. Canvas 6 is priced at Rs.13,999 and comes with a with full metal unibody design, 5.5-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor. It has a 13 MP rear camera and the front camera is an 8 MP one.
