Micromax Unite 3 Features 10 Regional Languages & Translation Service
Basking in the glory of its previous Unite 2 Android phone which sold , Micromax has unveiled a new smartphone called 'Micromax Unite 3' which hopes to set itself apart by introducing customised regional language options. The diversified cultures in India demand that you change your language as you move from state to state. There's a whole segment of market untapped by Android phones because they don't cater to regional languages. With Unite 3, Micromax has introduced a facility that lets users translate the language before sending out a message. The entire phone's interface can be changed to any one of 10 regional languages for ease of access.
The ability to change the menu to a language that you understand (along with sound assist) is the biggest USP of Micromax Unite 3 smartphone. The company has collaborated with Firstouch, a company that specializes in building a regional mobile ecosystem, for introducing a 'swipe' feature in Unite 3 that lets the user type faster in Hindi, Marathi etc. to match correct matra and word prediction. To achieve this, the OS has more than 2 lakh words of each regional language.
Coming to the specifications of Unite 3, here we have a 4.7 inch screen with WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixel) IPS display. Carrying 1 GB RAM and a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor under its hood, the Unite 3 runs Android Lollipop 5.0 OS out of the box. On the phone's rear end, an 8 MP AF camera is located at the usual place and a 2 megapixel snapper sits on top of screen on the front. Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity are present along with USB and Bluetooth. A 32 GB microSD card expansion slot can take care of your photo and movie storage.
Priced at Rs. 6999, Unite 3 is available in two colors - Blue and white. The company is offering a special deal to those having a Vodafone SIM card. In that, users can enjoy 500 MB/month of free data for 2 months from purchase.
