Micromax Funbook Features Android 4.0 ICS, Yours For Rs. 6499/-

Micromax Funbook is up for grabs for a price of Rs. 6499/- and we believe you won't get a better deal for any Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in India at present. On the hardware front, the Funbook is packed with 7" capacitive (16:9), multi-touch display with 800x480 resolution. The tablet is powered with a CORTEX A8 processor which operates at 1.2 GHz. Assisting the CPU, Funbook has a Dual Mali 400 2D/3D GPU to handle the complex graphics processing. You get 4GB inbuilt NAND memory along with 512 Mb of inbuilt storage which can be expanded to 32 Gb through external SD card. The tablet is capable of handling HD videos and also supports an HDMI port so that you can connect it to a bigger screen LCD or LED TV and view your photos/videos. On the connectivity side, the tablet comes with inbuilt Wi-Fi module; but for 3G access, you'll have to attach an external dongle. There's a 0.3VT front facing camera for video conferencing; but we're sure the image quality won't impress you. The 2800 mAh battery powers the machine and we'd wait for the early battery performance reports to see how much life it gives to this tablet. The tablet will be available in two colors: Slate Grey and Midnight Black.

Micromax Funbook

Micromax's Funbook is clearly targeted at the younger generation and it's apparent through their tag-line "Pass Bhi Hoga, Time Pass Bhi Hoga". The Funbook will ship with an e-learning app which offers reading material from all the leading educational content brands. The app has 500 courses from class 1 to graduate and post-graduate courses like Engineering, Medical and MBA. Yesterday, we saw the launch of #-Link-Snipped-# tablet which is also aimed at students. It looks like #-Link-Snipped-# might just see few of its customers opt for Funbook as the Micromax's tablet addresses a lot of drawbacks in #-Link-Snipped-#.

Looking at the specs and the prices, we think Micromax Funbook is a good deal. You may order your Funbook online from Nimbuzz Store.
