Micromax Canvas Knight 2: 4G Dual SIM Smartphone With Octa Core Power

The local smartphone maker, Micromax has announced the launch of its mid-range smartphone called ‘Micromax Canvas Knight 2’. Priced at Rs. 16,299, the new 4G LTE -enabled dual SIM (both nano SIMs) handset will be available for purchase in retail stores from June 10. This device is the Micromax's first 4G smartphone and the company will expand its portfolio in the 4G segment by launching the upgraded versions of Canvas Fire, Unite and Nitro. The sleek smartphone will come with a free Airtel 4G SIM card and Airtel 4G Double Data offer.

Powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor (quad-core Cortex-A53 1.5 GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 1 GHz), Canvas Knight 2 runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The 64-bit processor is coupled with Adreno 405 GPU for better performance. The 5 inch (12.7 cm) HD AMOLED screen has display resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. The screen is covered by Gorilla Glass 3 for protecting it from scratches. It houses 2 GB RAM and the external memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The information about the internal storage is not disclosed yet.

Talking about the camera section, the special moments can be captured by using 13 MP auto focus rear camera or 5 MP front camera. The rear camera sports Sony IMX214 sensor, flash support and LARGAN 5P lens while the front camera features Omnivison OV5648 with LARGAN 4P lens. The handset also packs Cirus Logic Wolfson WM8998 Stereo DAC chipset for premium audio experience. Canvas Knight 2 packs 2260 mAh battery. The connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. Canvas Knight 2 has pre-loaded apps such as Snapdeal, CleanMaster, Newshunt, Apps Center, Chaatz, Quikr, SwiftKey, Hotstar and SwiftKeys apps.
