Post Canvas Knight, Micromax's flagship phone Canvas Gold A300 has already hit the retail stores, and promises the best merge of hardware and software in a Rs 24000 price tag. The Canvas Gold enjoys a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, octa-core chipset clocked at 2GHz, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage. It runs Android KiKat 4.4.2 OS, and supports dual-SIM functionality. Equipped within is a 2,300mAh battery, which provides 8 hours of talk time and 210 hours of standby time. It sports a 16-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Canvas Gold A300 may appear too similar to the Knight in overall appearance, but slightly differs with the rubberized sections at top and bottom making room for the antennae. And with the aluminum side paneling, it looks highly inspired from the iPhone.

Micromax has gradually paved its way up in the smartphone segment, and now the Indian brand finds itself in the same league as that of Samsung. It has even acquired international acceptance, so that's another feather in the cap. What now remains to be seen is the scale of acceptance. Posted in: #Gadgets
