Oregon Scientific, a worldwide marketer of personal electronics has now indulged into the field of tablets. The company has now manufactured a tablet named #-Link-Snipped-# which runs on Android platform. The device offers a wide range of online services some of which include music downloads, movie streaming while connecting over any Wi-Fi enabled access point.

The device is expected to be unveiled at the Toy Industry Associations’ 109th American International Toy fair. The interesting part is that the device is designed to absorb shocks and drops as when kids use any portable device there is a risk that the device may get scratches and even hit the floor. The tablet features a really tough design with an enhanced rubber silicon sleeve to provide added protection to its sturdy body.

Basically the company has proceeded with the design keeping in mind children above six years of age. This Wi-Fi enabled tablet allows users to access online content and download any required media to the device’s hot-swappable memory card. The device also comes with a G-sensor providing customized viewing angle for the users. Even parents gain the power to control the device’s functionalities and keep a track of the websites visited by their children.

This little entertainment box will also pack a variety of accessories including some musical accessories that will be sold separately. I think the device is definitely going to gain popularity as children will get a new option for edutainment.
