Mechanical projects are harder to implement then electronic/programming projects - True or False?

Hey, just a random unrelated question that some of my seniors mentioned; do you guys agree that mechanical projects are harder to be carried out compared to electronic/programming projects? Cos my seniors said that mechanical parts tend to be expensive and unpredictable. How far is it true? What would be your suggestion to help out a Mechatronics Engineering student for his final year project? Again, thanks in advance for your precious feedback.

Well, that can't be generalized. Mechanical parts may be costlier; but software can cost a bomb too.

yaeh you said it and from that it can be inferred that mechanical projects are easier to implement than electronics/programming projects.

A projet for final year mechatronics is serious business. It has to be fairly involved and should demonstrate a capability in actual use condition even if it is not in a finished or optimised state. It also covers a lot of ground. Have you come up with some specific area of interest? It is difficult to suggest anything meaningful with an open ended question.
