hiiiiii guyz i m a fourth yr student of ITBHU. i m doing a project on implmentation of maximum power point tracking of solar panel for battery charging system.i have to design the hardware too.so if anybody can help me that would be a great favour.thnx

    Try to break down your problem in different parts.

    1. Detecting sunlight
    What can you use to detect light levels? Phototransistor? LDR?

    2. Moving the detector and panels
    Using stepper/servo motors? Or leave it static and use multiple detectors at various azimuth and elevation angles? If you can predict the path of the Sun, then you can focus on certain angles.

    3. Comparing different levels of sunlight
    Comparators? Microcontrollers?

    4. Charging system
    The charge voltage must always be higher than the battery it is charging. Time of charge depends on current. Insure way to safely charge, protecting both solar panel and battery.

    well actually i hav to design the whole system & make a hardware of the system so i need to know how i have to proceed. till now i have not done any hardware projects so i m a bit confused as to how i have to start. i have the MPPT algo ready.i have also got the parameters os the circuit ready. but i m having difficulty in by which kind of software technique i have to implement the MPPT algorithm!!!!!
