    If we take a completely blank 9x9 Sudoku, then in how many ways can we fill it? In other words, how many different solutions are there?

    It depends on how many filled boxes are present in that puzzle.There is no blank Sudoku puzzle.You always have some filled boxes in any given puzzle.

    Yeah there's no blank Sudoku puzzle but supposing we have a blank 9x9 grid then we can fill it according to the Sudoku rules. Each row can be filled in 9! ways. And since there are 9 rows in total so the total number of ways would be (9!)^9. But this is not the answer since we also have to take care of each 3x3 smaller box so that it has digits from 1 to 9.
