Officially unveiled on 3rd November by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the all-new next-gen hatchback Alto K10 AMT is now launched in Lucknow and reports suggest that the car has a waiting period of up to two months. Here to rival the likes of Datsun Go and Hyundai Eon 1.0, the new car is available in 6 variants, namely - LX, LXi, VXi, VXi (O), VXi (AMT) and LXi (CNG). Though the car's exterior is heavily similar to Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, the place to look for new features is under the hood. Priced in the range of Rs 3.06 lakh to - Rs 3.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Alto K10 features a 998cc engine with automatic & manual transmission options.

Here are the top 5 things that caught our attention with the new Alto K10 -

1. Automatic Gear Shift - First seen in Celerio, the AGS is nothing but Automated Manual Transmission where a manual gearbox unit works with an actuator to do the job of your left foot. Highly efficient for people looking for a automatics.

2. The engine is said to deliver an amazing mileage of 24.07 kmpl (ARAI certified). We believe 20 kmpl for daily commute is something to look forward to.

3. The interiors are plush. The cabin stands out with a black & silver centre console, integrated music system, power windows, internally adjustable ORVMs, driver side airbag and top it up with increased boot space.

4. The green variant, the Alto K10 Green comes with 6-litre CNG tank that is said to offer 32.26 km/kg.

5. The company has retained the mechanical parts of the old version of Alto. Thanks to this, the owners will find it inexpensive to maintain & repair the new Alto K10.

Currently being marketed as the car with 'best-in-class' mileage and sporting really good reviews, the company might have hit the right chord yet again with their latest hatchback.
What are your thoughts on the all new Maruti Alto K10? Which are the best and worst things you could notice in the car's specs? Share with us in comments below.
