The engineers at Mahindra have taken care of beating the existing range of scooters in the Indian market. For this, they have improved upon the facilities as seen in present vehicles. For example, Duro which is powered by 124.6 cc 4-cylinder engine is very efficient. It offers a mileage of 53 KMPL. Moreover, the scooter is ergonomically designed offering wider seat and better legroom. The engine generates 8 BHP power at 7000 RPM.
The modifications in the scooter technology are however not limited to employing an efficient engine. Rather, Mahindra two Wheeler has improved upon number of parameters. The brakes are now bit wide resulting in higher safety index. The company has also introduced a new technology called Brake Lever Lock Mechanism. Also Duro comes with Bright Halogen Headlight and largest fuel tank in its segment. It can store 6.5 liters petrol in one go.
The new additions in the Mahindra 2-wheeler family are touted to offer tough competition to many brands like Honda. Seeing the success rate that company witnessed in South Indian states, it wishes to reflect the same story in rest of the country. For potential customers, it is available in seven shades. They are Fiery Black, Pearl White, Cappuccino Brown, Mystique Grey, Royal Purple, Supreme Silver, and Derby Red.
