Hey friends,
I am thinking to pursue higher education by doing M.Tech. I wanna take your valuable suggestions and advice on which specialization should i opt for doing M.Tech in. Given the fact that whole world is in the shadows of great depression i.e. recession, i am badly in need of some of the experienced members here with the pros and cons of every specialization. Here are the list to which i am gonna choose :
1) computer science & engineering
2) vlsi design
3) embedded systems technology
4) software engineering
5) knowledge engineering
6) information technology
7) information security and cyber forensics
8) multimedia technology
9) database systems

i'll be grateful if you give some of your valuable time to this thread. Thanks
With Regards
electron ;-)

If you will ask me for suggestion, I will say go for "information security and cyber forensics"

My area of interest and very few people are seen having knowledge in this domain. Having knowledge in this area is a very good thing according to me. 😀

One more information JNTU Hyderabad ( India ) is offering part time Mtech and MBA courses , interested guys please check the JNTU site and check it out.

PS : If this is a kind of advertisement please delete it.
i believe JNTU is an Government institution and to include the topic here is apt if not please delete.😎

Which one interests you the most? That's the one you should do. Don't base anything on the economy, it will change before your done. I like #2 and #7.

    Hi electron,
If you go for Specialization in Embedded Systems Design , you can ensure a safe and interesting career. But it depends on you wheather you have personal affection towards Microcontroller programming.
Although there is a bit struggle to begin with this field (being an engineering graduate) but after M.Tech you can surely get off to a good start.
Basically this field is all about developing software for dedicated automatic applications. And as you go through , the field further expands towards programming the applications dealing with the real time constraints.
    cheers..! have a good time..

hey u r wrong, semiconductor technology is fast upgrading itself, silicon will soon be replaced by graphene and moreover transistor length is shrinking every year. But branches like microwave, applied electronics, communication systems are less likely to undergo sudden changes in demand.
