The LYF Flame 8 and LYF Wind 3 will be sold on Flipkart from midnight today at prices starting at Rs. 4,199 and Rs. 6,999 respectively. Both the smartphones let you in on the Jio Preview offer that lets you enjoy unlimited 4G data, voice calls and access to Jio apps for three months. So if you want to experience Jio before its official launch itâs not a bad way to do it. Both smartphones also come with 24 months extended warranty which means you can have peace of mind for two years.

LYF Flame 8
Letâs start with the cheaper of the two, the LYF Flame 8. The LYF Flame 8 sports a 4.5inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution screen that has a pixel density of 218ppi and is shrouded in AGC glass. Underneath we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset that houses a 1.1GHz quad-core processor, 400MHz Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM running Android Lollipop. Internal memory of the LYF Flame 8 stands at 8GB and for memory expansion the microSD card slot gobbles up cards of up to 128GB. The LYF Flame 8 has an impressive 5MP selfie shooter coupled with 8MP sensor on the back with LED flash. Both cameras feature Beauty Mode, Face Detection, Smile Detection and Blink Detection with 6x zoom. The user removable 2000mAh Li-ion battery on the LYF Flame 8 can power it for 160 hours on standby.

LYF Wind 3
The LYF Wind 3 has a larger 5.5inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display which has a pixel density of 267ppi and is covered in Asahi glass. Underneath the hood we find an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset housing a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 400MHz Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM running the same Android Lollipop. The internal memory is also greater at 16GB with the usual microSD card slot. The primary camera is a doable 8MP with LED flash however on the front we get a rather dismal 2MP camera. The bigger 2920mAh Li-ion battery is non removable but it can power it for up to 370 hours on standby.
The LYF Wind 3 wins on performance whereas the LYF Flame 8 excels in the camera department, so take your pick.
