North Korea beat Colombia in the delayed controversial match by 2-0.

Per me, India have real chance in Boxing (Vijendra and Mary Com), Wrestling (Sushil), Shooting (Gagan, Bindra or Sodhi), and may be Badminton (Saina Nehwal), All other want to London just to waste country's money and pride 😔

I know I am being so rude also on the other hand I am following them, just in hope that if they can do some miracle 😀

Archers Team: Even Women's follow the men's team and out in first round
Badminton: Mixed doubles Jawala-Diju lost both of their matches and out of tournament.
Boxer: Couple of boxer lost their first bouts.
TT: Ghosh couldn't sustain the second round pressure.

Everyone including spectators, commentators and Indian side thought that Sangwan should be announced as a winner, but referee had something else in his mind and he declared the opponent as winner. Indian's had lodged a protest against that. Lets see if that can help in any way?

Jawala-Ponappa won their first badminton doubles match

Disappointments, rather say bad luck
Bindra couldn't defend his gold medal in shooting, couldn't even qualify for finale.
Sumit Sangwan lost the won battle; complaint lodge against the result.
Indian Hockey team gave a fight to much higher rank Nederland; lost 3-2
B Devi won first match in archery individual but lost in second round

Big time disappointing day except Badminton:

Tennis: Competition over in doubles for Indians. Both pairs are out. Only hope is on Paes / Sania.
Badminton: Both single players, Kashyap and Saina advanced to Quarters. Kashyap would be playing with World no. 1 in next match
Hockey: NZ thrashed Team India by 3-1
Archery: competition over for indian as World no 1 Deepika Kumari disappointed in round 1 itself.
Shooting: Same old story, Girl shooters couldn't even qualify for finale
Rowing: Playing for pride (position 13-21), and there also losing.

Saina next faces Yihan wang(Current World No:1). Saina has played 5 times against her and won just once 😔. That worries me a bit. But seeing her current form, I think she has got a chance, even if Saina looses it will be a hard-fought 3 setter.

Boxing - Vijendra advances to next round; Jai Bhagwan was brutally beaten by opponent;
Badminton: One out (Kashyap, had given awesome fight to world no. 1), One still fighting (Saina defeated world number 5 in straight sets, will lock horn against number 1 in semis)

In an unfortunate decision taken by International boxing Association, VIKAS K is out of Olympics. His American opponent has lodged complaint against the result in the last match (pre-quarters), and decision went for him and now VIKAS is out of Olympics.

A bit disappinting day for Indians.

Day started with a bronze medal however after that A medal hope, Manoj Kumar lost the bout and another medal hope Vikas was declared lost in yesterday's won bout.

Badminton: Saina Nehwal wins women's singles bronze medal.
Athletics: Sudha Singh fails to make final cut in 3000m steeplechase.
Shooting: Shagun Chowdhary fails to qualify for finale.
Boxing: Devendro Singh wins to enter quarter-finals. Manoj Kumar lost his bout.
Tennis: Paes-Sania lost in the quarter-finals.
Athletics: Men's 20km Race Walk - Irfan Thodi finishes 10th. Breaks National Record. Won miliions hearts. Krishna Poonia finished 7th Discus Throw Final.

Vikas Gowda is a US based discus thrower but of Indian Origin.
He is 6'9" tall and very strong athlete, and recently won a medal in a NY beating some top competitors. On his best day He has the ability to win a medal for sure. He top the table in Group A, lets see if he can top the finale table as well.. 😀

Yogeshwar won first bout but as everyone in the crew he too lost in Quarters.
And as all other wrestlers, he too got a chance for repchage as his opponent marched into finale.

Oh Miss to mention two more updates:
Indian Hockey team continued their losing trail; lost to SA and finished at the bottom... 👎

However B Rana participated and completed the 50 Km walk, though he finished at 36 spot, but created a national record; This is called give it your best at the right platform. Bahadur You did not win the medal, but won the hearts.

A true fighter, 'Sushil Kumar' helped India winning sixth medal and doubled their tally (Last year Indian won 3).

This year India Ended with 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.

Mary Kom - Boxing - Bronze 👍
Saina Nehwal - Badminton - Bronze 👍

HATS OFF TO the players. You made all of us proud. All other athletes gave their best but coudn't finish on podium but they made us proud by qualifying and fighting in Olympics.🎉
