LoKast App Solves Problem of Device-To-Device Media Sharing
With the advances made in the field of communications, near field apps, etc., it is only a matter of few years that the device to device sharing of videos, music, pictures and all other forms of media will become an everyday activity. A lot of android apps like Bump, Color, Mover, etc. can be given the credit for making media sharing so commonplace by offering very simple techniques to share media resources with the nearby smart phones and other devices. LoKast is an interesting app developed by Boris Bogatin. Boris is an engineering graduate and alumni of the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his degree He has now become the CEO of NearVerse. LoKast stands out of the large crowd of other similar apps because of its reliability. LoKast is a unique proximity based app that has the ability to gather vital GPS or Bluetooth information about the nearby phones. So it is not a hit or miss type of app like WhosHere. Also, it is very fast and there is no delay in media sharing with the proximate devices. It works efficiently in all types of environments including airports and crowded coffee houses which have large number of devices.

LoKast uses a server which makes it costly but provides a smooth data transmission since the network is faster and safer. The server keeps the user informed about the quality of the transmission. At the same time the company gets information about the actual usage.
However nothing is perfect and so is the case with this app. Sometimes, the videos get stalled while streaming. This app doesn’t require you to register so it is a bit unsafe. However, the advantages of this app greatly outnumber the demerits and flaws in the programming and security standards of LoKast. Overall, it is an awesome app and it has ushered in a new era of media streaming for all the smart phone lovers.
