LG X400: An Android Nougat Smartphone With Fingerprint Sensor That Costs Rs. 18,635
LG Electronics has announced a new smartphone in South Korea just ahead of MWC 2017. The LG X400 has started off as a South Korea exclusive and is expected to make its way to India later this year in a slightly altered variant. The LG X400 is the successor of the X300 which was unveiled in the country a month ago. The LG X400 is slightly different from most LG smartphones as it employs a MediaTek chipset instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon which is a staple of LG smartphones. The LG X400 will be available in Gold and Black colour variants and has been priced at 319,000 won which comes to around 18,635 INR.
The LG X400 sports a 5.3inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display with 2.5D curved glass. Here lies a small problem with the display, a slightly large 5.3inch display means a lower PPI figure of 277. A full HD resolution would have been just right for the smartphone. Underneath the hood, we have MediaTek MT6750 chipset with a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core processor with Mali T860GPU and 2GB of RAM. Normally smartphone above Rs. 15K have more than 3GB of RAM, this results in more negative points for the LG X400. The LG X400 has an internal memory of 32GB and a microSD card to expand the storage to up to 2TB. The LG X400 runs the latest Android Nougat which is found in less than 1% of Android smartphones.
When it comes to photography, we have a 13MP LED flash equipped camera on the rear and a 5MP, 120-degree wide-angle lens on the front for selfies. The LG X400 has a fingerprint sensor in the place you expect, underneath the rear camera. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. The LG X400 is powered by a 2800mAh battery which is user removable.
