LG To Bring Ice Cream Sandwich Updates By Q2 2012
After Samsung's announcement last week on the Ice Cream Sandwich updates for its smartphones and tablets, it is now LG's turn to come out with an official announcement regarding ICS updates for LG devices. A number of LG smartphones were released this year including the LG Optimus 2X and the LG Optimus 3D. LG has announced updates for most of the recently released devices on its official Facebook page. This upgrade is expected to hit around the second and third quarters of 2012, starting with Q2 2012. Android Version History is the latest version of Android for tablets and smartphones alike.

The update process has been divided into two halves with the first batch of LG smartphones getting the upgrade in second quarter of 2012, followed by the next set of handsets which will receive the update during the third quarter. The upgrades will be out for the following smartphone models: the LG Optimus LTE, Prada phone by LG 3.0, the LG Optimus 2X, the LG Optimus Sol, the LG my Touch Q and the LG Eclipse during the second quarter of 2012. The LG Optimus 3D, the LG Optimus Black, the LG Optimus Big, the LG Optimus Q2 and the LG Optimus EX, will be getting their upgrades during the third quarter of 2012 i.e. Q3 2012.
