LG Optimus Vu Teaser Video Suggests 4:3 Aspect Ratio

With the Mobile World Congress nearing its date, device manufacturers are also gearing up for the showdown at the event. We can now expect to have a #-Link-Snipped-# at the trade show, but we still do not know the name of the device or the form factor. But one its competitor, LG, has come up with a teaser video of their upcoming smartphone, Optimus Vu, in one of their #-Link-Snipped-#.

#-Link-Snipped-#

The five inch touch-screen phone will have a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is quite awkward for a smartphone. The blog does not share any other information other than an image and the video. While some specifications can be found on another site #-Link-Snipped-#.

The site suggests that LG is releasing this phone to compete against Samsung Galaxy Note. The hardware specs include a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor from Qualcomm, 1 GB of RAM and an onboard 8 GB of storage. The 5-inch display will have a resolution of 1024 x 768 and will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with an upgrade option to Android 4.0 after release. The phone will also sport an 8 MP camera and would also support NFC.

So now we have another device scheduled for an official launch at MWC. Have a look at the teaser video below and tell us what you think of its form factor and specially the 4:3 aspect ratio of the device.
