The details of this smart phone to be launched are revealed from the company's official Facebook page, that clearly states that these two models will be launched in South Korea in early January 2012. The handset will be running on Android 2.3. Most of the LG models will run on Android 4.0 software from second quarter of the coming year.

LG Optimus Q2 seems remarkably superior than LG LU2300. It will be thinner in width and lighter in weight than the previous model. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz Tegra 2 processor. LG Optimus Q2 will have a much wider keyboard that would be spacious and would have a IPS-based LCD capacitive touch screen with 700 nits of brightness. It has a 5 mega pixel back camera and a 0.3 mega pixel VGA front facing camera. It has 1 GB RAM and connectivity of Bluetooth 3.0 and Wireless 802.11n Wi-Fi. LG Optimus Q2 is equipped with a Stereo FM Radio with 3.5 mm ear jack. The model will be available in two colours - black and white.

The company has also revealed that all other information about the model will be available on the website prior to its launch. Though the date of launch of the model in Korea is fixed, its launch in other countries is still an untold mystery.
