At IFA 2011 in Berlin LG announced two high-end monitors, the LG E2391VR and LG D237IPS 3D. The LG E2391VR (E91 series) monitor focuses more on the aesthetics, where as the LG D237IPS 3D gives emphasis more on image quality in 3D.

[IMG]The LG E2391VR has been regarded as a borderless monitor as its frame has a 4.35mm width and 7.20mm thickness. It's much thinner compared to the 9.3mm thickness of iPhone 4. It's luxurious acryl finish is considered to attract more style-savvy consumers. "It has been designed not just for work & internet browsing but to be the center for entertainment for any bedroom, study or dormitory", said Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company. Most of the critical components including all of the ports are in the base of the monitor, so it won't be a choice for those who want to wall mount the monitor. It still looks great with glossy finish and has some serious technical specifications. It is a 23-inch monitor which has a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio offering full HD 1080p video along with 2ms response time. As far as connection ports goes, it has HDMI, D-sub & headphone out.

The LG D237IPS is a flicker free 3D technology driven IPS monitor which has a 100nits of brightness, more than conventional 3D monitors, delivering top quality & comfortable 3D viewing with LG's battery-less ultra light 3D glasses. It also boasts excellent viewing angles for viewers from a wide range of positions. The LG D237IPS comes with a 2D to 3D conversion feature, which enables users to view more 3D contents.
