LG's one of the leading brands in Air Conditioning. I stumbled upon their products page and found out they've a new lineup of ACs for the summer. I decided to take a look at the specifications & features of LG AS-W126B1U1 Split Air Conditioner -

At a glance, LG boasts of DC Inverter Technology, 3G Cyclotron Plasma, Allergy Care System, Jet Cool, Jet Heat, Hot and Cold Function in their new lineup. The DC Inverter Technology, as LG says is one of the best technologies for optimum energy efficiency. It saves up to 60% of energy when compared to the other ACs of similar caliber. The AC features variable speed compressor instead of a regular mono-speed compressor which results into better cooling.

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has acknowledged that LG ACs have lower power consumptions compared to other ACs of equal star-rating. Those who don't know about the star ratings, more number of stars is proportional to lesser energy consumption and more initial price.
