Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga Notebook - 360 Degree Personal Computing

The Lenovo Yoga ensures to take users to a new level of personal computing. It’s a thin notebook PC that can serve as a tablet PC as well. Unlike the traditionally designed swivel system, this notebook rotates around a hinge attached to the edge of the display. You can say it’s a simple 360 degree rotatable screen. This design can prove to be a powerful tool to those users who want a full-fledged personal computer with abilities to re-build as a tablet.

Lenovo unveiled its IdeaPad Yoga recently at CES. The notebook runs on Microsoft’s Windows 8 and can be opened and folded back as a tablet or an e-book reader. It can be folded into a tent like structure to watch videos at a better angle. Converting PC to tablet isn’t a good idea but on IdeaPad Yoga, the hinges are designed sturdier for lasting years. When it’s folded into a tablet the keyboard deactivated so that it can be placed on a flat surface without worrying about hitting any key. The palm rest features a leathery surface and the entire device has got rubber coating to withstand shocks.

The device measures .67 inches thick and weighs 3.1 pounds. It holds a 13.3 inch wide screen display with a battery life of up to 8 hours. Powered by an Intel processor, 256 GB of Solid-State storage and 8 GB of RAM, it is expected that the product would roll into the markets in the 2nd quarter of 2012 priced about US$1,199.
