Learning solaris?

Hello members,

Will it help me in any means by learning Open solaris by Sun microsystems?
How is it different from another OS? Will I be able to use it without any prior knowledge of it. I'm familiar with Win NT/XP and Linux.

    I don't know how to answer this question. Learning about Solaris will definitely help you understand a new operating system.

    Will you be able to use it without any prior knowledge of it? - No.
