    Hi krishn,

First of all a project is just a program, only which is useful and contain many little programs. Consider a Library Management Project. It is a project which contains small programs like Displaying Books, Adding Books, Database Management, etc. Where, these are called as modules of the project.

The main purpose of a project is to test your understanding in the 4 year Engineering course which you underwent. You would have learnt some programming. You have to use that programming knowledge and create something useful. This is called your skill and this will be tested from you with the help of the project you deliver.

If you are good in writing codes and executing them in command line, Java is better. Or, if you want a great user interface and nice menus to work with, then .NET is the one you should be looking for. First off, decide on which domain you would like to do the project. Eg. Banking, Library, Utilities, etc. and what idea you have. Once you say this, I can guide you for your final year project and mini projects.

With all things already said just want to add one small thing.

If you really looking for a good project and want to get something out of it in future also try to work on any OpenSource project.
It will give you experience and exposer.

Project which students used to develop are generally for sake of assignment only but working on a live project will be something which
will give you great results in future.

Visit sf.net or if you use Linux then choice is unlimited.
I will be glad to answer if you have any queries on this.

    Hello Krishn, 😀

I would suggest that you look around you. There are many projects around us and we are not looking at them. Just calm yourself down and just read all your books that you have seen in your college life, quickly let us say in 30 minutes, quite fast. I am sure you will strike at something awesome.

Wanna give it a try? 😀
