Klout Aims To Gauge 'Real World Influence', Updates Algorithm
Klout hasn't been on top of things in past garnering harsh reviews for its incompetence as a service but Joe Fernandez, Co-Founder & CEO, believes it's a new day. At #-Link-Snipped-#, Klout announced its plans to expand its functionality by measuring influence of its users offline as well as updating its algorithm in near future.

Klout's essence lies in the fact that it connects with a user's Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and other social networks to analyse the astuteness of a user spanning a number of fields and how influential he is among his peers. Though Klout's scoring algorithm hasn't been able to deliver the promise yet, a turn-around is expected in the cast of a new algorithm, with an approach to be more varied in terms of signals and more refined to produce relevant results. Fernandez believes this new update in the algorithm would be appreciated by Klout's users.
Regarding the plan of quantifying 'Real World Influence', Fernandez has not revealed much but assures that the company is at the start of an interesting way of implementing the feature.
