KitKat 4.4 Launcher For Low End Devices Like Galaxy Y, Galaxy Ace, HTC Sense, S Advance ,etc.
I have found one nice Kitkat 4.4 launcher from XDA developers, named as Google Launcher HD.
Supported devices : Samsung - Galaxy Y, Galaxy Y Duos, Galaxy Ace, S Advance, Star. HTC - Explorer, Sense.
Screenshots :
Pros :
- Very smooth.
- Consumes less memory
- Flat icons
Cons :
- Fonts doesn't look good
- Flat icons seems distorted
If the developers, somehow fixes the fonts & distorted icons, it would be best kitkat launcher. Because, it's first ever kitkat launcher i have tried for low end devices which is very much smooth.
Similar type of launcher is Holo launcher, which is laggy but fonts & icons are rendered properly, check below image :
In terms of smoothness, Google launcher HD is far better than Holo launcher. But when it comes to fonts & icons rendering Holo launcher slaughters Google Launcher HD. Maybe some big screen device might get properly rendered icons & fonts, but in Galaxy Y it is distorted.
