It is either a new generation Asimo or a new concept which is sure to catch the imagination of GenNext. The #-Link-Snipped-# SmartPal VII is a new tool of telepresence after telephone or Skype that to making things move even if you are miles away, hence making things 3D. SmartPal lets you have greater degree of presence at a remote place with the use of a robot which acts as 'You'! The robot was showcased at #-Link-Snipped-# robot exhibition. The secret behind all this is #-Link-Snipped-#.

The telepresence boosted by #-Link-Snipped-# helps you direct the robot's movements. In other words, you can tidy up your house, pick  up objects and do much more stuff just by sitting in your office or friend's place. The robotic engineers at Yaskawa have designed the robot to adapt to its surrounding with the help of advanced technology. SmartPal uses two cameras which can zoom in and zoom out to get a better look at things and you can see the environment in which the robot is operating at the present moment.
#-Link-Snipped-# is an advanced version of SmartPal V being more compact and lighter. Almost all components that are used in VII are an upgraded version of V. This makes it more suitable to the tasks which you might need to be done in your absence. From the technology point of view, the robot might be suitable for office going communityorthose who have to remain outside for some or the other reason. The company however has not decided a target market. It will be decided as per the prevailing condition but the future course of the robot looks promising. Earlier, the company had outshone all competition with its Motoman line of robot arms.
iRex (International Robot Exhibition) which is arranged every alternate year in Japan since 1973 is touted to be the largest Robot trade fair in the world. Not only completely developed robot but also peripheral components are exhibited. Most visitors to this trade fair are from industry. This year robot exhibition was aimed at bringing forward the idea of futuristic robots. The show was of course captured by the advanced technology demonstrated here by#-Link-Snipped-#.
