Karbonn Unveils Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane & Octane Plus Android KitKat Smartphones

Regional smartphone manufacturer Karbonn Mobiles has unveiled three of its brand new Android smartphones that run Android 4.4 (KitKat). Titanium Hexa, Titanium Octane & Octane Plus are three mid-range smartphones but they offer a good bang for the buck as they provide better than average processing power. We shall take a closer look at all three, starting with the Titanium Hexa.

Karbonn Titanium Hexa

The Karbonn Titanium Hexa is the first smartphone in India to have the latest 1.5 GHz MediaTek hexa-core processor. This processor is based on the Dual-Cluster/Dual-Active (DCDA) architecture which allows all the six cores to run at the maximum clock speed simultaneously. The smartphone boasts of a 5.5inch Low Temperature PolySilicon LCD (LTPS) display which has a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by a scratch resistant and oleophobic coating. Apart from the impressive CPU, the Titanium Hexa has got 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 13 MP AF rear camera with flash and a 5 MP front snapper. It supports memory expansion with the help of microSD cards and OTG cables. The phone is powered by a 2050 mAh battery and will retail for Rs. 16,990.

Titanium Octane Plus

The Titanium Octane Plus has got a 5-inch Full HD resolution IPS panel. Underneath we find a Mediatek MT6592 1.7 GHz Octa-Core Processor, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. In terms of photography the smartphone has got a 16MP auto-focus rear camera with flash and an 8MP front sensor. Memory can be expanded with the help of microSD cards of up to 32GB. The smartphone is powered by a decent 2000 mAh battery. The smartphone will accompany a Rs. 17,990 price tag.

Titanium Octane

The Titanium Octane is the cheapest of the lot as it retails for Rs. 14,490. The smartphone has a 5-inch HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS panel display. The KitKat OS is taken care of by a Mediatek MT6592 1.7 GHz Octa Core Processor and 1GB RAM. The smartphone has an internal memory of 16 GB which can be expanded to up to 32 GB with the help of microSD cards. The Titanium Octane has got a 13MP rear camera with flash and a 5MP front camera. The smartphone is powered by a 2000mAh battery.

All of these smartphones have got Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB connectivity and offer GPS navigation sensor and Dual SIM functionality.
