  • JSMAD is your new JavaScript decoder that lets you play MP3 songs in your browser without needing Adobe Flash installed. Ever since Apple announced that they are not going to support Flash in their iDevices, it seems that the developers around the world are focusing on using JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3 to replace Flash and do everything it could do with these new tools. We bet Adobe isn't going to like this move. #-Link-Snipped-#

The JSMAD is a pure JS code that currently works on FireFox 4 & 5 and the engineers behind jsmad are currently working on adding support to other modern browser which includes Chrome 12, Opera, Safari, Mobile Safari and Android Browser. You can make the song play in Chrome by enabling the Web Audio API in 'about:flags' and then relaunching the browser. However, Chrome forces sample rate of 48 kHz, which adds distortion to the songs. If you wish to try it out, head over to #-Link-Snipped-# and play a sample song. You can even upload a song from your computer and play it. We tested it in #-Link-Snipped-# and it works just super.
