JioPhone - Documents Required to buy the phone

Someone contacted us to ask what documents will a buyer required in order to be able to buy the JioPhone from the Jio Digital Stores. First of all, it's important to note that the Jiophone is yet to be made available; and it'll be introduced for beta testing on August 15, 2017. However, mass booking of the phone will begin on August 24 onwards and the phone will be delivered in September. Jio has not made any information available about the kind of documents required.

However, it's very likely that all you will need is your AADHAR number to book your phone. This is because if you aren't enrolled under eKYC with Jio, you'll be required to complete the procedure to buy a Jio SIM at the time of buying the phone. It's a biometric based enrolment system and the only thing required is your thumb impression and valid AADHAR number. The entire enrollment process can be completed within 3 minutes; provide Jio servers are running fine.

I'll request you to go through JioPhone features and price analysis in our detailed discussion on #-Link-Snipped-#
