Jaguar XJ Saloon Priced In India At Rs. 98.03 Lakhs
The British company Jaguar, which is currently owned by Tata motors has recently launched an updated Indian version of its flagship XJ Jaguar car in Mumbai. Priced at INR 98.03 lakhs, the Jaguar XJ comes with state-of-the-art facilities like the famed InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. Named as the XJ Saloon, this embodiment of luxury and comfort will compete against the contemporary BMW 7-series, Audi A8 and the Mercedes Benz S class.
The Jaguar XJ
Inspired by Mumbai’s “Dubbawala†concept, the automobile giant succeeded in bettering its predecessors. According to Rohit Suri, president of Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd, the car has given a remarkable performance in test drives. With all new customization, the New XJ has a commanding presence on the road, making it a definite head turner and providing utmost customer satisfaction.
Talking about the exterior design, the Jaguar XJ saloon sports a dynamic stout bodyline with curvy features. A whole new addition of more powerful full LED headlamps and new tail lamps can be spotted. The sedan comes with a 3.0 litre V6 Diesel engine with 221kW and 700Nm of torque as well as the 2.0 litre 4 Cylinder 177kW Turbocharged Petrol engine with 340Nm torque. From inside, the car provides large leg space with a soothing environment featuring a panoramic roof and Diamond quilted stitch patterned leather seats.
The infotainment system
The new car does not compromise with safety and boasts of various equipment and supporting features such as Airbags and Whiplash protection, pedestrian contact sensing system and child seats. However, the main USP of the car is the InControl Touch Pro- Jaguar’s new advanced infotainment system featuring an ultra-secure network technology. The infotainment is stuffed with a high-performance quad-core processor and runs on ultra-fast Ethernet- a network technology which offers data transfer rates of up to 1Gbit/second. With a 20.32 cm (8) Touch-screen in the centre console and a customisable High Definition, 31.24 cm (12.3) TFT instrument, it provides autonomy in control and innovative tech features for riders.
Jaguar is also set to launch the Jaguar XE in India on 3rd February, 2016. The Jaguar XJ Saloon comes in two variants, the XJ Premium Luxury and XJ portfolio. Featuring the coolest and latest technology, the XJ is definitely going to be a treat for car enthusiasts.
