It's what we can't see that matters in IT : Pervasive computing- Infosys

I do not know how much of this is hype. But Infosys seems to have done something interesting in this exercise of Pervasive Computing.

    I'm always quite apprehensive when systems rely too much on image capturing alone. Some range sensors would have aided the process and provide more accurate data.

    Besides, android phones have that Traffic app which I assume makes use of users GPS and updates the database. As more smart phones become prevalent, vehicle traffic analytics processing requirements can be "distributed" from the public. Saves costs 😉
