The engineers and researchers at ISRO have another reason to cheer as the organisation has won the Indira Gandhi Prize 2014 for Peace, Disarmament and Development. The space and research organisation has been working relentlessly for more than four decades and exploring newer avenues. Being conferred with this prestigious award is the new feather in its cap. The year 2014 was particularly a special for ISRO. It all began when in February, 2014 at the Mangalore University's 32nd convocation, Mr. K Radhakrishnan, Chairman, ISRO shared that the organisation is working on new technologies that explores ISRO Working On Technologies That Have Potential To Put Humans Into Space. Last year in November, thousands of Indians ISRO Mars Orbiter Gets "Happy Journey" Wishes From ISRO & Indians. In April, the PSLV-C24 PSLV-C24 / IRNSS-1B Launch Successful : ISRO launch become successful and later in June, ISRO set to ISRO To Launch PSLV - C23 From SDSC -SHAR, Sriharikota On June 30 From SDSC -SHAR, Sriharikota.

Then came the biggest India's Mars Orbiter Mission Update: ISRO's Created History This Morning of the year, when in September, 2014 ISRO's MARS Orbiter was successfully injected into its destination orbit around the red planet. The cheerful uproar that followed was one of a kind. And the latest in the series was the news about ISRO ISRO To Send Rover To Mars In 2018, Calls It "Mars-2" Mission in a project known as 'MARS 2 Mission'.
