    Actually, In our debate class we had to discuss about this topic..! Many spoke for and many spoke against it...!! I want your Views on this topic..! Actually many consider Indian Education(the system,methodology we follow) is below par in comparison with other nations..!! One more thing is that in IMO(International mathematics olympiad) many chinese are being selected but only a few or sometimes no one gets selected from India..! Should our education system be blamed for this? Pls put forth your views and suggest remedies,if any..! 😀

    I will enlighten some points here--

    1) After passing 10th grade u are forced to choose stream either commerce or science or arts, Its non-sense ... what if a student finds during or after 12th grade that he/she has developed interest in other stream ? Its possible to change stream but who will waste 2 more years & change stream ? No-one ! I think stream selection should be eradicated. It shouldnt be like "B.com student cant apply for engineering" and/or "Engineers cant apply for Psychology".

    2) Education in India is very much focused on theory, while in practicals you suck.

    3) Reservation seats ; lower middle class intelligent student have to suffer due to this. 1% reservation ? ok I understand & accept, But hey 28% ? Come on Get-a-life ! Admission should be given by marks/grades and not race/class.
    SC/ST are having financial troubles; so does Lower Middle class ; I see no difference here, so why dont we eradicate whole caste/Reservation system ??

    That's impossible man..! Forget caste..! Speak about the loop holes in Education..! yes we have a strong foundation in theories but lack applied knowledge..! But there are many methods to improve practical knowledge..! (fr example..! Being a CEan 😀 😀 ) but in what way do we lag in comparison with other nations?

    I listened till 5:21 & it was interesting ... but its 60 min long video .. will download it & will continue later during free time.

    Indian brains are always welcomed all over the world. This simply refers that the education imparted to us is really valuable. our education system is really good but there are some areas where there is a need of immediate reformation. Now a days, there are several private institution which are getting commercial which is creating hurdle for the middle class people to afford. So such things must be stopped. Soft skill courses must be run simultaneously with any technical courses. Education system must transform from theoretical oriented to practical oriented. 😀
