    Thanks alot.Infact at my work place (Rourkela steel plant, construction of India's Biggest Blast Furnace), iam facing a problem regarding plumbing work.we need to conduct hydro testing of GI pipe line in toilet in a control room building before giving clearance to toilet flooring and dado works.with the manual Test pump we had set the pressure at 10 Kg/sq.cm.upto 4-5 hours there is no fall in reading, but after 24 hours the reading had fallen to 8 Kg/sq.cm.after another 24 hrs , the reading had fallen to 5Kg/sq.cm.However there is no visible leakage of joints.Now my question is "is there any IS code for the standard test procedure,(If there is, kindly forward it to me) and is there any stipulated time upto which the pressure fall should not occur.or is the fall in pressure is due to faulty dial guage ?In practice how do we conduct this test ?.
    Please help me to sort out this problem
