    Hi,
I'm a 3rd year EIE student. I'm planning to do graduate degree in Canada. I wanted to know which course is better Biomedical Instrumentation or Oil/Gas instrumentation? Is industrial Instrumentation similar to Oil/Gas Instrumentation?

You will need to define what you mean by better. They are all different focuses on the same discipline.

Mhealth (mobile health) is coming along in a very big way. You can look at that area of Biomedical Instrumentation.

industrial engineering may be a lot of mechanical with touch up of electrical components. meanwhile something like oil/gas will give equally importance to the chemistry, engineering and electrical...
biomedical instrumentation will relate more to instrumentation only. so i think it will depend on you to see whether you want lot of genres in your study or to be specific.

Well, it mainly depends on your personal preference. Mostly, biomedical engineers have safer working environments and they often find themselves working with doctors to provide solutions. On the contrary, in oil and gas engineers mostly work in very challenging and stressful conditions to maintain plant safety and production. Hope this helps.
