It's more or less confirmed that iPhone 4s has battery problems. Well, hundreds of people complaining on Apple's official support forums (#-Link-Snipped-#) can't be wrong. While the tech specs of 4S mention that the battery should offer 200 hrs of standby time and about 8 hours of talk time, iPhone 4 doesn't even do half of it. There are several complaints on almost every tech forum out there about iPhone 4S draining the battery in just 4-7 hours. Apple products are famous for the 10 hour long battery life; but it seems that the latest iPhone isn't meeting customer expectations.

Apple decided to offer major software upgrade with #-Link-Snipped-# 4s. The iOS 5 packs lot of improvements and the new notification center - which seems to be the root of all evil. Plus there's siri - Apple's new personal voice processing assistant which could be the major battery sucker. But we expect Apple to fix this problem as soon as possible via iOS update or better developer guidelines for apps.

Suggested Fix To Improve iPhone 4S Batter Life

We've a disclaimer here; the following fixes seem to work for lot of users but not all of them. So no harm in trying them out and telling us whether the fix worked for you. The first and the most important fix is to disable unnecessary notifications and location services. Secondly, it's This Tip Could Cure Your iPhone 4S Battery that iOS 5 has a bug that makes the "setting time zone" function keep the location tracking mechanism keep running in the background. It drains the battery severely. It's advised that you should turn the "Setting Time Zone" off and if you're traveling - adjust the time zone manually.

We're curious to know whether this fixes your iPhone 4S battery life. Share your experiences with us through comments.
