iPad Vs. TouchPad Vs. Xoom Vs. Playbook

HP has finally entered the war-zone with its WebOS powered TouchPad. The battlefield is already full with the two big rivals, Apple and Google with their own proprietary tablet operating systems. HP did have its own 'Slate' but it never made a mark it should have. Will Touchpad compete with the biggies like Google, Apple, RIM & Motorola? It's difficult to say.

[IMG]What builds or brakes a fan base is probably the availability of apps, flexibility of the OS and the overall hardware (not just the CPU, GPU, but the camera and connectivity as well). Android and iOS are clear leaders when it comes to the number of business and entertainment apps available in their respective stores. The same isn't yet true with the WebOS though. It can however take a lead in the usability factor, in which Palm has already done a great job.

@Viraj: The bigger is better - well, not always. I'd prefer a 7" screen over 10" simply because it saves my space, is lightweight. I guess people use tablets to 1. Stay connected over the Internet 2. Watch movies/photos when they're on the move. I believe 7" does the job perfectly well.

Wait for Samsung Tab 2 launch in next 2-3 days. It's got Super AMOLED and I'm going to jump on it the moment it's available. 😉
