Can you share some more information about the project? Looks very interesting. How are you planning to index all the pages/blogs and are you going to do it manually or through spiders (like Google). Is your project about creation of online directory?

Actually i have experience that lots of people did not find useful information form google like search engine. It may be due to their own indexing policy. They try to make money from it. So many times we just find advertise from search result. So this idea click me to have our own indexed category-wise database. The database must be run & maintain by users. The main aim is clean & clear information of various pages in respective categories.
The project have it's own social plugins for FB & twitter. 😎
In future it have its own "like" & "comment" system. We also have improved search system.
At this time all the fact & features are in my mind. After getting some feed back they must be changed according to requirement. 😀
The feedback from our Enthusiastic Engineers is really important. So go on what you think about this??😒

I'm guessing you're trying to do something like Yahoo before they bought the inktomi search provider. A directory of websites and pages. But then, finding relevant websites from your directory is going to be interesting.

Isn't that something what Google does -> Indexes all the websites & pages in the world and then provides a search engine to search for them.

Yes, it is same but it is manual not automatic. Even more the pages are indexed by users.
In the case of Yahoo's inktomi serach i did not use it. even i did not read about it. so i cannot give any comment.
