Intex launches Aqua A4+ smartphone with Android 7.0, 5MP camera, 4G VoLTE and more at Rs 3,999

Intex Mobiles has again come up with a budget-oriented smartphone target at users looking for a smart but cheap mobile device. Named as Aqua A4+, the device is the successor of Aqua A4 series and will soon be available in India at a price of Rs 3,999.

With decent specs, the main highlight of this device is its 4G VoLTE functionality and Android Nougat 7.0 OS which will be offered straight out of the box. The phone is also compatible with Jio 4G services and one can use this device with their Jio 4G SIM. Powered by a 2000 mAh battery, the device offers 8 hours of talk time and can last up to 300 hours on standby.

Coming to its design, the smartphone has a rectangular body with a textured frame at the back. Available in two color variants namely - Black and Champagne Gold, the device is mainly carved out of plastic but doesn’t fail to impart a premium feel. It boasts a 4.5-inch touchscreen FWVGA display and offers a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The phone has two volume rockers and one power button situated at its right along with a home, forward and backward navigation keys on the bottom bezel of the screen.

At its core, the device has a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Spreadtrum SC9822 processor supported by 1 GB of RAM. It also has 8 GB of ROM and an expandable storage option of up to 64 GB via micro SD. Camera options include a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a front camera with 2 MP sensor for selfies. It also supports video recording feature.

Connectivity options include but are not limited to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB tethering, etc. It also has 3.5 mm jack for FM radio and audio accessibility. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon and will be sold online only. The offline buyers will find it soon across offline retail stores.

Hence, at a price of Rs 3,999, Intex Aqua A4+ is a smartphone which offers mediocre specs with 4G functionality. For those who use their device for basic internet usage can definitely find this device as a better upgrade compared to other feature phones. However, with other budget smart devices waiting in the line, one can definitely have other options at the same price point.
