Intex Aqua Joy Offers Android Lollipop For Just Rs. 2799
It is as cheap as it can get with the new Intex Aqua Joy. For a price of just Rs. 2799 you will be able to enjoy Android 5.1 (Lollipop) on a bargain basement chipset and display. The Intex Aqua Joy has been launched by Intex Technologies and has been termed as a bundle of joy. The Intex Aqua Joy sports a modest 4-inch touch screen display with WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution. The pixels per inch figure is low at 233 and you do not get any protective glass with the display. While Intex likes to make its smartphones look good with a higher screen to body ratio (normally around 80%), the Aqua Joy has a rather unwieldy looking screen to body ratio of 55.20%.
Underneath the hood of the Intex Aqua Joy we find a Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset which houses a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 CPU, ARM Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM. While the same chipset was used on the recently launched #-Link-Snipped-# and #-Link-Snipped-# the RAM figure has been reduced to 512MB just like on the #-Link-Snipped-#. The internal memory on the Intex Aqua Joy stands at 4GB out of which 1.58GB remains free for the user and this means you have to go for a microSD card for expanding that storage. The microSD card has to be a maximum of 32GB in capacity.
When it comes to the cameras on the Intex Aqua Joy things get as bare minimum as possible. The rear camera resolution is 0.3MP and it is accompanied by flash. The front camera resolution is the same at 0.3MP. The Intex Aqua Joy is powered by a 1450mAh battery which can offer 4 to 5 hours of talk time and 140 to 160 hours of standby. The Intex Aqua Joy thankfully has dual-SIM connectivity and 3G. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB and Wi-Fi. The Intex Aqua Joy measures 125mm x 63.9mm x 10.1mm and weighs 110 grams. The smartphone will be sold on online retailers and in brick and mortar shops at a price of Rs. 2,799.
