MWC 2012 saw the announcement of Intel's partnership with Lava for manufacturing of smartphones. And as announced, Lava #-Link-Snipped-# the world's first Intel powered smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs. 22,000. The XOLO X900 will be available all over the country starting April 23. The device will also be available across all Croma stores around the country.

Out of the box, XOLO X900 will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich soon to follow. The device features a single-core 1.6 GHz Atom Z2460 CPU with Hyper Threading Technology and a 400 MHz GPU with capability of playing and encoding 1080p videos. The 8MP rear camera comes with a LED flash capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps along with a 1.3MP front camera.
The device sports a 4.03-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600. Some connectivity features include NFC support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. The phone has an internal memory of 16GB with 1GB of RAM. The 1460 mAh battery claims to power up the device for up to 15.5 hours of talktime on a 2G network with nearly 44 hours of music playback.
