Integrated security system to strengthen surveillance mechanism of indian railways
Project Abstract / Summary : The objective of our project is to provide assistance in registration,investigation,and prosecution of crimes that occur in train.In our project passengers inside the train compartment is continuously monitored using camera and footage is transferred to control room.Ir sensor is installed at entrance of each compartment to calculate number of passengers.When passenger count is less,it is assumed to be more sensitive condition for crime and subjected to close monitoring process.RF tag and reader is used to detect intruders in reserved compartment.Android application is developed with panic option as part of passenger safety tool
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : We had chose this topic because it would secure the passengers in train.It would prevent intruders in reserved compartment.It increases passengers safety.It minimizes delay in case investigation.In our model USB camera is interfaced with ARM11 processor.Using the camera we can take the image and save it in SD card.These images can be uploaded through gmail.The future scope of our project is to provide security to the passengers and to prevent harassment in train.
