Infosys To Start Development Center In Shanghai. Jobs For 8000 Engineers Likely.

India's leading Information Technology Services company, Infosys (INFY) announced that they have laid the foundation of their new development center campus at Zizhu Science and Technology Park in Shanghai, China. Infosys will invest $125-150 million to develop state of the art campus featuring software development labs, data centers, training facilities, food courts, a 1500 seater auditorium, gym, and other recreational facilities. Infosys issued a statement saying this is one of the largest investments in China by any software company. The ceremony was graced by Infosys founder #-Link-Snipped-#, Infosys, Mr. T.V. Mohandas Pai (board member), Dr. S. Jaishankar, Ambassador of India to China and Mr. Rangarajan Vellamore, Chief Executive Officer, Infosys Technologies (China) Co., Ltd along with other senior officials.

Infosys China Campus

The new campus will be spread across 15 acres of land which will be developed over a period of 3 years. The center will feature sitting capacity for 8000 engineers. The Infosys China Development Center will be one of the biggest development centers of Infosys and will be built with highest environment standards in mind. Mr. Murthy said that Infosys development center in China is a testimony to Infosys' commitment to China. Infosys will used their elevated delivery capacity to offer consulting and software development services to customers especially in China and also other parts of the world.
