Indonesia Earthquake | 8.7 Scale | Tsunami Warning In India

A massive Earthquake of magnitude 8.7 has struck Indonesia. The Earthquake is so massive that Tsunami warning has been issued all over the Indian ocean. The tremors were felt in South India and hundreds of employees in Bangalore offices have evacuated their offices (needs confirmation). This is a developing news and I request CEans to post updates in this thread.

We hope all people in Indonesia are safe.

    Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issues estimated time for Tsunami: Tsunami likely to hit Little Andaman at 15:46 IST, Port Blair at 16:02 IST, North Andaman at 16:22 IST, Chennai at 16:57 IST, Kakinada at 17:35 IST, Trivandrum at 17:38 IST, Mangalore at 19:06 IST, Bombay at 21:38 IST, Gulf of Kutch 22:04 IST.

    Didn't feel any tremors here in Mumbai.
    CEans from other cities please confirm.

    Chennai HCL office is also evacuated.. and coastal area too being evacuated by police.
    There is also alert of Tsunami from Indian official.

    Even Chennai people had the feeling. I was at home, feeling the Earth Quake twice... 😲

    but the rain was heavy during the evening. our classmates said that the world will last tomarrow and we found a lot of humor in the tsunami.
