Improvement in Fuel efficeiency in vehicles.

I am studying on 'improvement in fuel efficiency in the vehicle'.

If I increase oxygen content in air-fuel mixture in engine, dose fuel efficiency increase?
Is there any benefit for doing so,
At least, is it benefit for engine starting in cold environment?

If it is beneficial, how it is possible to generate oxygen by chemicals?
Thanks.

It is best to use molecular sieves to filter nitrogen out of air and get a higher oxygen concentration. However, the cost and energy to get the oxygen may more than offset any improvement in efficiency.
