IdeaTab S2109 With ICS Revealed By Lenovo On YouTube

The tablet market is growing with loads of tablets from various manufacturers, competing with each other to provide the best possible features in a segment. Now, the IdeaTab series has a new member, the IdeaTab S2109. Lenovo has officially announced its arrival on YouTube with a Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 Tablet tour - YouTube giving us an idea of the features the tablet will be packed in.

The Ice Cream Sandwich tablet has some similarity with the previous generation iPad. It features a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and an aspect ratio of 4:3. The tablet has a thickness of 8.9mm, close enough to iPad 2. The IPS display provides a wider viewing angle of 178 degrees.

Some other features include a 1.3 MP front facing camera, support for a microSD card, a micro USB and micro HDMI. The tablet has a unibody shell with a 'gunmetal' finish. The video shows faster processing which means it might be sporting a Tegra 3 processor or a TI OMAP but it is still unconfirmed. It claims to have a battery life of 10 hours. We have a suspicion on how much juice the battery can provide with four full SRS Trumedia speakers on the back panel.

Out of box Android 4.0 is a good sign for users as they will not have to wait for updates like other typical tablets. There is no update on the availability and pricing of the device. Enjoy the product tour of the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 below:
