Humanitarian Engineering Should it be emphasised as a must in curicullum

We know that when a student finishes his medicine degree he must serve for a year in a rural village as a practitioner for an year. This is completely done on the basis of service to humanity

Do you think that similar thing has to be incorporated in the Engineering Sciences as well and Humanitarian engineering must be made mandatory for every engineer to get his degree

    Not at all. Engineering is a pure application of creative science. Not all engineers are doing exactly things related to their major. If this is applied, a civil engineer has to work on construction site to get his degree where he can get a handsome package in some other company which does some other things. Medical profession is completely different than Engineers. Cant be analoged together

    Have you heard about #-Link-Snipped-# they are doing a great job in advocating how an Engineer in any domain can use his skills not only to fill his own pocket but also to develop the standard of your brethern

    I completely agree to #-Link-Snipped-# and I want to say that Engineers are not any aliens or any superior job .This measues can help the engineer to know the present scenario of Indian rural condition and it can give a rough idea on what India wants and it can lead to better and sustainable development.

    We all know the urban areas itself need a hell lot of development then let us see the rural population and stuff

    Not the entire area of a city is developed a few places are worse than rural
